About Doug Gochman
The Voice-Over Seed was planted very early on in Doug's life. While growing up about a half-an-hour from New
York City, Doug remembers tagging along with his father, Len, to voice-over sessions around the Big Apple.
Sitting quietly among the engineers and producers in the recording bay of the studio, Doug was able to observe
the creative process involved in the world of VO. He recalls it all being very collaborative, fun, exciting... and a
pretty cool way to earn a living.
Doug graduated from NYU's Tisch School of The Arts and remained in New York City pursuing acting and
music gigs. Doug worked as an actor in plenty of Off, Off-Off, and waaaay Off Broadway productions, all the
while performing in clubs like CBGB's and The Bitter End with RnB band, "The Shakers." Doug was also one half
of the NYC based acoustic singer/songwriter duo "Common Cents," who released two CD's on their own
independent label and toured extensively throughout the Northeast and Midwest at colleges, clubs, coffeehouses
After moving to Los Angeles, Doug started to pursue Voice-Over full throttle. He put a demo together, landed representation and began booking VO work in radio and TV commercials, narration, animation, interactive games and promos. If you haven't done so already, please return to the audio links page to listen to some of the work Doug has recorded over the years.
Continuing his involvement in music, Doug plays live gigs in and around the greater Los Angeles area in The
Desperate Measures, a Country band and still rocks out occasionally with his old buds, the Shakers. Check out
